Vita:

 Artistic career including arts education and community art

2000 to present - currently working in partnership with my husband running Rachan Design - a small company specialising in public art, community and school art projects. Past public commissions have included work for Scottish Natural Heritage, Edinburgh Green Bell Trust and Sustrans. I also worked for !wo years with Newcastle City Council on a wide variety of public art projects associated with city parks. I have worked on a large number of community art projects with East Lothian, South and North Lanarkshire Councils with school and adult groups creating work for both indoor and outdoor display.

Resulting artworks have inciuded interpretive reliefs, free standing totems, functional furniture, abstract sculpture and prints. Materials used have inciuded stone, steel, ceramic, green oak, bronze and glass mosaic.

1996 - 2000 ran workshops from studios, developed own work, undertook various school commissions, exhibited

1991 - 1996 worked as tutor at Edinburgh College of Art, developed own work , exhibited and worked to commission
